What the athletes had to say after another busy day at the office
As the serious business of Super Sunday draws closer, the stars of the Swatch World Tour Finals who are no longer in the tournament have been thanking their fans after a long, hard season on the sand on social media. Louise Bawden and Taliqua Clancy, who lost in the quarterfinals yesterday, reflect on the fun times they’ve had in Toronto and on tour during 2016.

Canadians Heather Bansley and Brandie Wilkerson also exited the tournament early but both players send their love to the people around them that made their new partnership blossom after they almost knocked out finalists Ludwig/Walkenhorst in the last 16.

Friday also saw the exit of the tournament from American Kerri Walsh Jennings, who together with April Ross also lost to Ludwig/Walkenhorst. Now it’s the off season, Kerri has more important things to think about than winning medals…

ANOTHER team to lose to Ludwig/Walkenhorst also posted on social media on Saturday. Larissa/Talita went down to the Olympic champs in the semifinals but their season isn’t over as their next port of call is their own home tournament.
