Second only to Samoilovs/Smedins in the ranking, American powerhouses Nick Lucena and Phil Dalhausser have excelled on the FIVB World Tour this season.

Among their haul of four gold medals is a smart Major Hamburg triumph in June, while two of their silvers have come in Gstaad and, most recently, on home sand at the Long Beach Grand Slam.

Twelve months ago the duo were runners-up at the Swatch World Tour Finals in Fort Lauderdale– can they go one better this year in Toronto?
