After dominating the game in 2015 – which included winning the Swatch Beach Volleyball FIVB World Tour Finals in Fort Lauderdale – 2016 has also been a success for Larissa Franca and Talita Antunes.

A haul of five medals, including two golds – one of which came at the Gstaad Major – has kept the Brazilians at the top end of the ranking ahead of this year’s epic tournament finale.

While they were gutted to lose out on a medal on home sand at the Rio Olympics, the duo will be aiming to retain the crown they won 12 months ago.

Fun fact! Since joining forces in 2013, Larissa and Talita have won 13 gold medals in 26 FIVB World Tour events – that’s one gold every other tournament.
