While Ludwig/Walkenhorst have taken the plaudits for their success this season, there’s no escaping the red hot form of the legendary American team of April Ross and Kerri Walsh Jennings.

The pair warmed up for Toronto with a bronze at the Olympics and a gold medal at the Long Beach Grand Slam, further enhancing their reputation as one of the world’s greatest partnerships.

Their FIVB World Tour record in 2016 shows the pair finishing in the top four at all 10 tournaments – only finishing out of the medal places just once.

Kerri missed last year’s Finals in Fort Lauderdale with a shoulder injury, however, April reached the quarterfinals with Lauren Fendrick.

Fun fact! The pair have a blistering record since teaming up in 2013, winning 11 gold medals in just 30 tournaments.
