Team: Alison/Bruno

Nation: Brazil

2015/16 FIVB World Tour ranking points: 4,140 – qualified as wildcards

2016 medals: 5 (Three golds, two silver)

They might not have finished high up the FIVB World Tour ranking but when you’re Alison Cerutti and Bruno Oscar Schmidt that doesn’t matter!

Among their success in the Swatch Major Series stops was gold at the Poreč Major in June.

Fun fact! Alison/Bruno suffered a shock defeat to Austrians Doppler/Horst during the Olympics but battled back to win one of only seven gold medals for the home nation at Rio.
